The city with a great history of meetings
In Sigtuna meetings have been a big focus since Sweden´s first king, Erik Segersäll, founded the town around the year 980. Sigtunahöjden continues to work and develop the meeting tradition with competence and experience. With this in mind, many choose Sigtunahöjden for their meetings, conferences, and celebrations.

Can I go by public transport to Sigtunahöjden?

From Stockholm and Uppsala

Take SJ’s Uppsala commuter train or SL’s commuter train to Märsta station. At Märsta station change to the bus 575 – see under Märsta Station. From Uppsala you take bus 181 and then change to bus 183 in Vassunda.

From Stockholm Arlanda Airport

Take SL’s bus 583 to Märsta station. The bus departs outside the respective arrival hall twice an hour. At Märsta Station change to bus 575 – see under Märsta station.

From Märsta Station

Take bus 575 towards Sigtuna Hällsboskolan. Get off at the Stora Sjudargården stop, go back in the direction of the bus, turn left at once and then follow the signs to Sigtunahöjden, about 5 minutes walk.

From Sigtunahöjden to Märsta Station

Walk about 250 m to stop Stora Sjudargården and take bus 575 from to Märsta Station, about 5 minutes walk. Check timetables at SL or UL .

Where do I park?

We have free parking right outside our premises.

Can I charge my electric car?

Yes, we have 13 charging posts for electric cars.

Can I get help to call a taxi to Arlanda Airport?

Yes, we can call a taxi for you. We use Taxi Stockholm.

How far is it to Sigtuna center?

The time it takes to the center of Sigtuna, Stora torget, and Stora gatan are about a 5-minute drive away, or you can go for a walk and be there within 20 minutes.

How do I drive from Stockholm to Sigtunahöjden?

E4 towards Uppsala, take off at the exit signposted: Sigtuna Märsta Arlanda stad. Then follow the road signposted Sigtuna väg 263. Then it is about 14 km left to Sigtunahöjden. You drive towards Sigtuna straight ahead through all roundabouts, the last signposted Sigtuna V. Follow the road Hotellslinga V, 2 km straight ahead and up on a height. There you turn left at the sign; Sigtunahöjden Hotel and conference. Drive Hertigvägen to the end.

How do I drive from Uppsala to Sigtunahöjden?

I have a food allergy, what should I do?

Our goal is to serve a sustainable dining experience with care for ingredients, environment and nature. Tell us at the time of booking if you need special food, and we will arrange for everyone to get good food and be able to eat together. The special diet is classified as livsmedelsverket’s 14 allergens, vegetarian and vegan diet. Register special diet no later than 5 working days in advance to your contact person with us. Unannounced special diets, as above, are charged at full price and produced extra insofar as we can meet the participant’s needs. Note, however, that we are not able to meet various diets.

Email us well in advance of your stay, and we will make sure you get the right reception depending on the type of allergy you have. Once in place, we want you to make yourself known, so we know who you are.

Can I have a bite to eat if I arrive the night before the conference?

Of course! The bar and kitchen are open until 23:00.

When is breakfast served?

Monday-Friday 7.00-10.00

The breakfast buffet is open on selected weekends. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for opening hours for weekends. Alternatively, you can go to our online booking and find available dates and also get a lower price when you book and pay online.

What does your alcohol policy look like?

According to our policy, all alcoholic beverages and other beverages must be ordered through Sigtunahöjden. We do not allow our own food or drink in our area.

Do all rooms have TVs?

There are TVs in all rooms with channels 1, 2, 4, 5, 6 and Skynews.

Is there a hair dryer in the room?

Yes, there is a hairdryer in the room.

Is there room for wheelchair users?

Yes, there are two wheelchair accessible rooms. Contact reception for booking.

Can I iron my clothes in the room?

Iron and ironing board are available in each hotel corridor.

Can I bring pets?

We are happy to accept guide dogs. We also have three twin rooms for you who want to bring your pet for an extra fee. Pre-book via email to info@sigtunahojden.se. Price SEK 300 / room and night. Pets are not allowed in rooms other than the intended hotel room.

Is it smoke-free at Sigtunahöjden?

Sigtunahöjden is a smoke-free workplace. At Sigtunahöjden, we take care of everyone’s health. Our guests can smoke outdoors by the ashtrays placed.

Do you have free wifi?

Absolutely! Passwords for wireless network are collected at the reception. The speed is 200 Mbit.

Can I train with you?

Yes, it’s going really well. There is a gym on Sigtunahöjden with free weights, kettle bells and a cross trainer. Outside the door there are nice walking paths and jogging tracks. Check with us on arrival, and you will get the best training tips from us.

What can I do on site when I have a few minutes / hours left?

Sigtunahöjden is located in Sigtuna, Sweden’s first city with a history of over 1000 years. Along Stora gatan you will also find many nice cafés and shops. We are happy to help you with maps and tips at the reception.

What does your sustainability work look like?

Sigtuna height breathes sustainably. We are Nordic Eco-labelled and part of Sustainable Destination – the sustainability network within Destination Sigtuna. Our raw materials come from nearby farms, and we prioritize organic products. We also have two hives to contribute to biodiversity by increasing pollination.
